Increasing Awareness of What Dementia Is and Is Not

Beth Posner-Waldron, CEBS, a Dementia Friends Champion and member of our Boston Chapter ISCEBS, will be leading this Dementia Friends Information Session. This program is part of a global effort to increase people’s awareness of what dementia is and what it is not. It is the hope that by spreading understanding about the disease, that people living with dementia and their caregivers will be less isolated, able to get more out of life and be full participants in their community. By attending this program, you may be better able to identify someone who is experiencing dementia that is a client or a member of your staff, community, or family and have some knowledge about how to approach that person or appropriate services and resources that are available.
