Webcast: Menopause: The Women's Health Revolution and Employer Support Strategies

Despite scientific progress, health conditions that commonly and disproportionately affect women are still not well understood or effectively treated. The stigma around women’s health needs also persists. Women’s health topics, largely the “three Ms” of menstruation, maternity, and menopause (Kapoor, 2021), are often viewed as taboo, making them not only uncomfortable for women to talk about but uncomfortable to raise at work. In fact, untreated symptoms of menopause cause as many as 1 in 10 women to leave the workforce, often at the height of their careers. It’s time to change the narrative, recognizing the impact menopause is having on working women – and the workplace as a whole.

A study commissioned by Medavie Blue Cross underlines the importance of debunking outdated myths about women’s health and making it a top business priority. In this session, Tara Anstey will share insightful research from the study, evidenced-based solutions, and practical strategies for employers that empower women to thrive at all stages of life. Attendees will also learn how leveraging AI and technology can make a difference in women's access to health care, with new digital tools helping them to manage menopause symptoms.
