Our Wellness Program Is Going to Help People—Why Can't We Do That?!When other organizations were rushing to pivot to virtual services during the 2020 COVID pandemic, the City and County of Denver took part in a DEI study that exposed the inequity of solely online wellness programming. Partnering with UC Berkley, the city realized that about a third of their staff were rarely using online program and missing out on the financial incentive tied to wellness activities. Since 2020, the city has pivoted its programming to include more personalized and in-person services, providing more equitable access amongst our lowest income staff.
